TARTAR SAUCE

Putting a homemade tartar sauce together is easy: mix yogurt, pickles and white wine vinegar plus a few spices and you've got a delicious simple sauce for pankoed white fish on Dutch Night!
THIS TARTAR SAUCE GOES GREAT WITH PANKOED (BREADED AND FRIED) COD OR OTHER WHITEFISH AS PART OF OUR DUTCH NIGHT!

TARTAR SAUCE

This mayonaise-free, yogurt-based Tartar Sauce is great with panko (breaded) cod as part of a Dutch Night!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 dill pickles
  • a good dollop of yogurt
  • a tsp of dijon mustard
  • white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 tsp of curry powder or ground turmeric
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Coarsely dice pickles and throw them in a bowl.
  2. Add yogurt and dijon.
  3. Add splashes of white wine vinegar and lemon juice.
  4. Add a dash of curry powder or ground turmeric.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
